Artists-in-Residence Program
Each year, artists who participate in our Artists-in-Residence Program, come to paint or photograph on the Museum grounds. Their artwork is highlighted in our exhibits and sales held throughout the year. Call for further information (401)294-3001.
Junior Docents
Junior Docents present interpretive tours, helping Museum visitors to better understand and appreciate Gilbert Stuart, colonial daily life, and the museum collections. Participating in this program offers boys and girls a way to earn community service hours and gain a sense of pride in their community and in themselves. Junior Docents volunteer at least once a month on weekends during the season.
There are openings for new Junior Docents each year. Call (401) 294-3001 or email info@gilbertstuartmuseum.org for an application.
Docents / Volunteers
Volunteer opportunities available at the Museum include historical interpreters (docents), museum greeters, and volunteers for gardens, special events, newsletter, and more. Scheduling and time commitments are flexible. Call (401) 294-3001 or email (info@gilbertstuartmuseum.org) for information.
